PLATEFORME 10 digital: From the lab to the exhibition
As part of the exhibition “La Mémoire du futur”, the Musée de l’Elysée is showing works in 3D for the first time: a daguerreotype, a ferrotype and a collage by Swiss photographer René Burri. For this show, Artmyn, the young start-up from Lausanne, has developed a new technology that allows the exhibitors to play with lighting in such a way as to highlight the texture of the pieces. “What is there to see, really?” was the central question brought to light by the initial practical test. Based on visitor feedback, the Musée de l’Elysée has now made a series of introductory, investigatory short films that analyse the details and styles of the pieces. Those interested may now also discover these works online. At the same time, the partner museums PLATEFORME 10, the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts and mudac are all currently digitising their artworks in 3D.
