Eating is about far more than merely taking in nutrition: it should be healthy, sustainable, seasonal, as well as enjoyable and not wasteful. With the help of the Design Thinking Method and together with its target group – Generation Y – the pioneering MyFoodways project supported by Engagement Migros addresses the issue of sustainable food consumption and, with the findings from this guided innovation process, has developed an app with cooking recipes. The recipes can be personalised to meet the user’s individual preferences and needs. This makes it easy to change eating behaviour and increase awareness for a sustainable lifestyle in a practical way. At the same time, this nutritional method has a positive impact on both the environment and society. The “Good Food” standards upon which the app is based were developed together with experts from science, business, NGOs and public administration. The independent app is free of charge and available in the App Store starting in summer 2018.
