Flex in the Strauhof

Project completed
Museums & the Public

With opening hours until midnight and individual ways of bringing the public to its collection, the Strauhof is testing new ways to experience museums.

The three-year collaborative Flex Project begins in September 2015 with the reopening of the Strauhof in Zurich. With this experimental programme, the Strauhof goes in search of new groups of visitors, namely those who do not regularly attend literary exhibitions. The Strauhof’s first experiment is to remain open every Thursday until midnight for a year. At the same time, it will also test new ways of making individual «types of reading» available to visitors.
